Babies spend almost all of their time sleeping. They probably only wake up to eat and are back to snoozing in no time. But that’s just normal. That’s how babies naturally are. The only thing you should probably worry about is the bed that they’re sleeping in. Is it safe? Are the materials used to produce it safe? Are natural products used? Most importantly, are they safe baby products?
If you already have a mattress, check out the materials used. Chances are, they contain synthetic materials that pose harmful threats to your baby’s safety. If they aren’t green products, you better think twice about using it. Unnecessary side effects and all other harmful toxins are the biggest threats and should be avoided at all costs.
In choosing a mattress for your babies’ crib, go for one that is made from organically grown cotton. Research has proven that it is safer and comfortable. Waterproof is also one criteria you would want to consider. It’s stain resistant and easy to clean. Compared to mattresses out in the market nowadays, always go for one that is phthalate free to avoid having any kind of side effects or disorders in the future. As your child is growing, you only want the best to ensure his full development and enhancement.
Together with other green baby products such as safe sippy cups, baby bottles, baby toys and all other necessary baby stuff, furniture should also be given importance. When it comes to your baby, only eco furniture will do.

I was out looking for a perfect gift for my brother’s 3 year old son. He’s super cute, adorable and so full of energy you’d wonder where he is getting all of it. I wanted to give him a wonderful toy he can play with, enjoy and have a great time with. But I don’t want to give just any random toy in the mall. I have a specific criterion in mind. I wanted to buy one of those green toys.
This eco-truck caught my attention so bad that the next thing I knew, I’ve already bought it.
This toy is made out of natural products. It was created from a mixture of recycled plastic and reclaimed wood. Reclaimed woods are actually used woods that are taken and re-used for a different purpose. This toy is also paint-free, eliminating harmful chemicals that paints give off. Aside from being one of those green products, it also has the functionality that make it fun and excellent for kids to play with. Because they are not battery-operated, kids will have to manually maneuver and manipulate the truck and make it move according to their own desires. While my nephew is enjoying, his mind is slowly being developed.
I thought finding eco-friendly products would be a tough job. I thought I wouldn’t find nontoxic toys to give as a gift. I was proven wrong with this eco-truck. It tells us that there are still safe baby products out there. Now that is good news.

Having a baby is not all cuddles and love. It’s a day to day activity that is both stressful and tiring. The what’s and how’s on parenting include what to feed him/her; what to make him/her wear; what to let him/her play with; how to know if what you’re giving him/her is 100% safe; how to be sure that you’re giving your babies your best. The list goes on. Parenting is an unsure business. You never expect to see the same results. But when you’re positive that what you’re giving him is out of harm’s way, all else will follow.
A lot of baby products are out in the market nowadays but not all of them are safe baby products. The safe one comes in green products and those that are phthalate free. Babies, even if they’re still young, can be exposed to harmful toxins that are present in the materials used to create baby products. No parent wants that. As much as possible they want to keep their babies safe and protected. Green baby products are produced without the toxins of any sort, fertilizers or any form of additives which makes them a better and healthier alternative for your young ones. Parents are assured of his health, his progress and development over time. All parents should go for the best alternative which will provide a safe haven for their kids.
Many baby products may claim to be non toxic products but you have to double check to make sure. When it comes to your baby’s health, nothing is more important.

Organic products started out with parents wanting their children to have nontoxic things that are involved in the child’s daily needs, such as clothes and toys. Back in the day, before fertilizers and pesticides induced crops and children’s toys did not have phthalates and bisphenol A in them, wooden blocks and other toys were literally whittled from trees. Cotton was hand-woven by those who were not able to buy bulk material from a merchant and were dyed with fruits and other natural products used to color things.
Spinning cotton and whittling toys may be gone now, but the organic baby products are now coming back to the modern world. The elimination of plastics is one of the benefits of purchasing organic baby toys. The usual baby toys contain phthalates and this causes many health problems for children like hormone troubles, kidney and liver harm, cancer and asthma. The chemicals used to dye the toys are not worth the health of your baby.
Babies tend to put almost everything in their mouths and with organic baby toys, parents can relax because no harm will come to their child via unhealthy chemicals. Though they cost more than ordinary toys, it is best to invest on natural baby products for the safety of our children.

Organic baby clothes are made from certified organic products, which are grown without the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Growing cotton the organic way lessens the environmental pollution of fertilizers by 25 percent and more than 10 percent on pesticides. The reduction of such pollutants would reduce tremendously if more cotton were grown organically. Purchasing organic baby products encourages other people to do the same and together we can all do our part in saving the planet.
Using natural baby products ensures that producers abide to have their product labeled as organic and their products must contain at least 70 percent organically produced cotton, and should be labeled how much percentage of organic made material was used to create the merchandise.
According to parents who have used organic baby clothes and conventional ones, organic clothes are much softer, thus making it more comfortable for the baby to wear. Organic clothing is also produced from organic cotton and is more long-lasting. They can also be passed down for years and can still hold up to an active baby’s life.
Organic baby clothes are in demand as more people become aware of the benefits they have for the environment as well as for babies. Purchasing organic clothes and other safe baby products means raising healthier children and is a small step towards having a better environment.

Organic baby products are the best choice that parents can make for their children. Organic food is also more nutritious for babies and toddlers because they are made without growth hormones, pesticides and antibiotics which are present in many conventional foods. Babies are more prone to be at risk of adverse reactions to toxins and artificial ingredients found in conventional foods. Fruits, vegetables and meats used to make conventional baby food are condensed and this causes pesticides and growth hormones to cluster. Because babies and toddlers are still developing, they are very vulnerable to damage that toxic residues cause.
Some parents are hesitant in going organic because of the higher cost. Most organic foods are more expensive compared to their conventional counterparts, but local farmers markets usually have grown organic produce and numerous retailers carry popular brands of organic foods at very reasonable prices. Along with purchasing organic baby food, many parents buy other green baby products for health and environmental benefits of their children.
Aside from buying organic food for their babies, adding cloth diapers and outfits that are made from organic cotton in your shopping list is suggested, since conventional clothes and diapers are known to contain harmful chemicals that can irritate the baby’s skin. As parents, spending a little more than we should for our children’s safety is definitely the most ideal thing to do. As the saying goes, it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Two years ago, there were massive toy recalls and concerned parents have begun asking questions. People started thinking whether or not children’s toys are safe, if the same thing goes for children’s beddings and clothes. Lead-laden toys should definitely be out of a child’s reach but it’s time to scrutinize what our children eat, feel, touch and wear in their daily lives. Even cotton is no longer safe for our children and it used to be the natural fiber of choice.
Clothing made of cotton retains harmful toxic residues that cause eczema, rashes and other skin irritations. Organically grown cotton, though, is a different story. Organic cotton bedding and other organic baby clothes are made of pure, natural and breathable fiber.
Nowadays, conventionally grown cotton is one of the most environmentally damaging crops in the world because it results in water pollution and calamitous effects on wildlife. Aside from that it also causes chronic illness in farm workers, since 25 percent of the world’s chemical insecticides are being used. This also results in 25 to75 million agricultural workers suffering from acute pesticide poisoning.
Because insects develop a resistance towards pesticides over time, farmers find ways to modify harsher insect repellents which end up in the air, soil and plants. These chemicals will eventually end up in our children’s bodies if we do not use eco friendly products.
